FAQ
Lessons From Horrocks Bible Chapel, as a society, pragmatically. This caprice investigative endeavour that presently ended publically urges the question: is there any LITERATURE available?

If nothing else proved the importance in the use of punctuations and capitalization...

-you must also have seen the correct manner in which to divide a word, right?-

-sarcasm-

...it’s that they are NOT always necessary. In fact, even without punctuation and careful use of capitalization, it’s still drastically easy to communicate a story or an idea just as effectively. It may not always be perfect, and it may require an increased attention to context and meaning, but it can absolutely be achieved.

Rather than entirely shift the blame to the reader, there are a number of ways that the writer can ensure they have the best chance to convey their message effectively: Writing clearly and coherently, using proper punctuation, dictating correct word usage, and (while less necessary) properly spelling a word.

The true test to see if the reader has truly gained their understanding of the text being given, and to see if the writer has clearly conveyed their idea, is to see if the conclusions drawn from the text could be logically arrived at in another way. Is it truly as jam-packed with meaning as I originally thought?

For this reason, the discussion of the idea that punctuation or spelling is necessary for proper communication seems to be misguided. Perhaps we should instead focus on our own skillful ability to understand what is being communicated to us, without being dependent on the ways it has been presented with.

Caution: if you ever receive an email where someone types in all lowercase “a’s” after their punctuation, how tempted will you be to trust them? How quickly can you spot the tendencies of a deceptive writer?

Ironically enough, deceptive writers often find a safe haven in the disguise faux-punctuation and spelling. Perhaps this is karmic justice of some sort.

Choose to write in a way that’s cogent and coherent, using proper punctuation, spelling, and diction. People notice.

You know a writer is a good one not because of how they choose to clearly convey their ideas, but rather because of how their ideas resonate unambiguously with their readers. Their attention to detail in writing or in spelling is simply an insulting cherry on top of the sweet, delectable bun of their eloquence.
